Threshing, Winnowing & Harvest

Description

There is a process by which God makes and matures disciples. It is likened to the agricultural process of “Threshing, Winnowing and Harvest.” When Jesus calls us out of our old life of sin, He begins to work in us. He starts to remove our old carnal way of thinking and acting. This is putting us on His “threshing floor.” As we “put off our old carnal nature” and “put on the Lord Jesus Christ” the Holy Spirit can “blow” away all that previously defined and controlled us. This is the “winnowing” process. As we allow God to “thresh and winnow” our lives, we will grow in the Lord and bear fruit for the Kingdom of God. This fruit is God’s harvest and brings us His eternal rewards.
